Personal information:

Don is also an award winning Magician, International Brotherhood of Magician’s historian & a contributing editor to MagicPedia. He also processes a passion for magic, which allows him to be actively involved in the community performing magic for charities such as, the Junior League, Shriner’s Hospital, the Juvenile Diabetes Association & St. Joseph’s Institute for the Deaf.

University of Kansas, School of Architecture & Urban Design. Bachelor of Environmental Design 1976

AIA/NCARB Continuing Education for multi-state licenses    Florida State Advanced ASCE 7 Wind Loads.

 

Professional Memberships:

Registered Architect State of Missouri, License # 4135 Current since 1983.

AIA american Institutes of Architects 

NCARB National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certification. Inactive/retired

Member of the American Association of Arbitrations, Past Arbitrator of (3 different) building construction related cases in the St. Louis area.

Member of Green Connected/Sustainable design.

 

Professional Architectural Expert Qualifications:

Don has over 38 years of professional architectural AIA documents, design development,  building construction, building code, life safety, medical healthcare, movie theater performance design, environmental design & building construction administration experience.

Don was also part of the emergency First Responders for Sunset Hills building evaluation & life safety inspections immediately following the area 2010 tornado destruction.

 

Experienced Expert Witness and testimony provided: 

Don has provided expert testimony on items related to: Architectural Design, ADA compliance, AIA documents & contracts, Building Codes, Life Safety, Movie Theater design, and building construction related issues. He has also completed Expert Witness cases in the following: Wrongful death within multi-family construction, ADA Fair Housing Act compliance for multi-family housing, water penetration & mold development within multi family & commercial medical building construction, Movie Theater design compliance of acoustical & ADA compliant stadium seating construction, specialty car collection facility, multi family loft hi-rise building code compliance & medical equipment design layout.

2010 Received  Architectural “Gold Medal” Honors from the Building of America Award for the completed Campbell Montessori school, St. Charles, Mo.

2009 Speaker at the Presidents Forum conference on “Making More Green by Going Green”.

2005 Speaker at ShoWest Theater convention on ADA Movie Theater seating compliance.

2003 & 2004 Awarded Best Places to Work for People Development by St. Louis Business Journal.
